Don't Be Surprised if UConn Wins the Big East Tourney

Post  QKH2432 on Sun Feb 12, 2012 5:53 pm

Don't jump off the UConn wagon just yet!

For all those "fans" who dusted off their UConn apparel for the first time last March, may have thought that their winning chances ended with Kemba's accent to the pro's. But I think there SOS [strength of schedule] will mature the younger stars (Boatright, Drummond and Daniels), along with those sensational sophomores finding that glue they had last post season, and hopefully the return of Hall of Fame coach Jim Calhoun just in time for the trip to Madison Square Garden; The stars will align again for the countries best tournament team again- Hopefully!

The comeback

I think now that UCONN is in a place of 'start winning now or kiss the NCAA tourney good-bye' we will start to see if they have what it takes to win the Big East tournament back-to-back. The next week will be huge for them. They have to win at least 3 of the last 4. They are a NCAA tournament bubble team at best. (I have my fingers crossed). And if they fall short of 3 out of 4, they will have to win the Big East to make the NCAA.
